In November 1999, I launched
an e-newsletter called VidBits which featured in-depth reviews of exercise
videos and DVDs.
Each VidBits review has two
parts: an outline of the workout in detail and MOPS (Modifications,
Options, Pointers, Strategy) for using the workout safely and
effectively.
Modifications: slight changes in an exercise to make it easier
on your joints or to protect an injury, easier or harder variations
to match your level of fitness.
Options: exercises you can substitute to work the same
muscle groups
Pointers: technique tips to assure you're doing the exercise
correctly
Strategy: ways to use the workout to achieve your fitness
goals.
To see a typical VidBits review,
check out the Review of the Week.
Over the years I got many requests for back issues of VidBits
with the detailed reviews, and emailing individual back issues
became quite time consuming. So, in July 2005, I launched my
second website devoted to reviews of exercise videos.
At VideoFitnessTraining.com you'll find all 67 back issues
of VidBits...
over 350 in-depth reviews, as well as numerous articles on fitness
and a forum devoted to video fitness training.
Currently,
all new reviews that used to be emailed in VidBits are loaded
directly onto VideoFitnessTraining.com, and a weekly newsletter is
sent to inform you of each review.
